Juniors at Lansdown

The Junior Tennis programme (under 18s) is provided by TT Tennis with the aim of guiding juniors along the tennis journey they choose to follow by means of different types of tennis opportunities.

Juniors benefit from free membership until they turn 18 when one or more parents are full racket sport members of the The Lansdown Club. Non-members can partake in coaching programmes on payment of a slightly increased course fee or separate Junior membership can be purchased.

Group and/or individual coaching programmes are planned around developing the 4 performance factors relating to Physical, Tactical, Technical and Psychological skills. Lessons are planned to develop the relevant skills in each of these 4 areas to suit the individual or group

  • Mini Tennis Red (8 yrs and under)
  • Mini Tennis Orange (8-9 yrs)
  • Mini Tennis Green (9-10 yrs + older inexperienced juniors)
  • Junior coaching (11 – 17 yrs) – Squad, Team and Tour levels
  • LTA Leaders Training courses (13 – 17 yrs)

Modified courts, balls & rackets are provided for Mini Tennis. Popular Mini-Tour events are staged throughout the year to provide under 11’s with a gentle introduction to competitive play with match results contributing to Mini-Tennis ratings
